Along with PowerPoint, these are the five tools that I have found meet the vast majority of my needs. Having said all that, I consider these as PART of my tool kit which complements Articulate and Storyline. Fortunately, this tool meets the vast majority of my needs without a huge budget or learning curve. Depending on how sophisticated you want to be, you can accomplish quite a lot. It has a lot of video and audio editing features that can get you into production mode very quickly. I get REALLY good detail captures like this.Ĭamtasia is a good tool to throw a nice video together. Then, grab what I need with SnagIt, and whittle away in the editor. I zoom in on the pdf until the part I want fills the screen. SnagIt is especially nice for zooming in on a fine resolution pdf file that has a graphic element that I want to focus on some small segment of. You can also compare them feature by feature and find out which program is a more suitable fit for your enterprise. It also handles the issue of transparency for the image background and the ability to save in many useful formats. However by working with our system, its easy to match the functions of SAP Litmos and ScreenSteps together with their general rating, respectively as: 9.7 and 7.8 for overall score and 100 and N/A for user satisfaction. This makes SAP Litmos an ideal product for small, midmarket, and large corporate environments. Mine is setup to automatically launch the SnagIt Editor, which offers many features that allow me to make whatever edits I choose, before I actually save the file to my library. With SAP Litmos in your toolkit, it will be easy to categorize learners, organize courses and training programs, and assign them to groups, teams, departments, or selected individuals. It allows me to save all, or a selected portion, of the screen. ![]() It has intuitive features that focus on automating time-consuming tasks associated with training and improving the learner experience. I keep SnagIt in my startup sequence so that it is always sitting there, just waiting for me to hit the "Print Screen" key. Litmos is a cloud-based learning management system that tailors its solutions to several distinct use cases, such as employees, sales, customers, compliance and partners. As "a mac" pointed out, they are separate tools for different purposes. Both SnagIt and Camtasia are Techsmith products.
